The Focus of Our Efforts
Clearwater Marine Aqarium Protect the Nest Program. This program allows an individual, group, or business to symbolically adopt a sea turtle nest in CMA’s survey area (Clearwater – Treasure Island) during the sea turtle nesting season (May – October). BBCF will be planting sea oats to help build dunes along Belleair Beach. The planting of the sea oats will take place between late May through July. We will post more info about this once we have an official date that we will be planting the sea oats.
Through Keep Pinellas Beautiful and the Adopt-A-Mile Program, the BBCF has adopted the Belleair Causeway. The bridge clean-up will be on the 3rd Saturday of every quarter in 2023 from 9am-11am.
