The Focus of Our Efforts
Clearwater Marine Aqarium Protect the Nest Program. This program allows an individual, group, or business to symbolically adopt a sea turtle nest in CMA’s survey area (Clearwater – Treasure Island) during the sea turtle nesting season (May – October). BBCF will be planting sea oats to help build dunes along Belleair Beach. The planting of the sea oats will take place between late May through July. We will post more info about this once we have an official date that we will be planting the sea oats.
Both residents and non-residents can now adopt one of the thirteen parks located throughout the city of Belleair Beach. Adopters will purchase and donate items for the park they choose to adopt. Both the Foundation and the City will approve the new design of the park. Adopting a park is a tax right off in its entirety. The park will have a personalized plaque that will have the adopters name on it. Checkout the Adopt A Park page for agreement.
